Government Subsidised Tuition Fees 

The Skills First is making vocational education and training more accessible to people who do not hold a post-school qualification, or who want to gain a higher level qualification than they already hold. There are now an unlimited number of government subsidised training places available to people who meet the eligibility criteria.

What if I want to study and I don’t meet the eligibility criteria? 

You can still study at your choice of training provider if places are available, but you will not be able to access a government-subsidised tuition fee. You will be required to pay full fees for your course. Speak with our Intake staff if you have any questions.


Concessions

Tuition fee for an eligible individual enrolling in a government subsidised is 0%,there are only $250 non-refundable enrolment fee and $50 resource fee. New Futures Training offers a free textbook to an eligible individual enrolling in a government subsidised place who holds a current and valid; Commonwealth Health Care Card, or Pensioner Concession Card, or Veteran’s Gold Card.

Funded eligible Asylum Seekers do not require to pay Enrolment Fee

Full Cost Tuition Fees

Students must pay a deposit of $500 on the enrolment day, this includes a non-refundable enrolment charge of $250. Students can enter into a payment plan and all fees must be paid by the middle of course.

Other Fees

RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning)

There are costs involved in the recognition of prior learning processes, however these are often less than the cost of a full course. This will save time and aid you in reaching your career goals.The RPL process attracts a $120 non-refundable application fee and $200.00 per assessed unit. There is no cost for a credit transfer, provided original or certified copies are provided.


Childcare

The New Futures Occasional Childcare Centre is available for children of our students and operates on weekdays from 9.30am – 2.30pm that cost $35. Places are subject to availability and very limited. For more information on available places, as well as term and sessional fees, please contact our staff.


Lost Certificates

Certificates can be reprinted for the costs given below: 
Certificate III, IV & Diploma - $35
Short course certificates - $15

Difficulties with Payments

Students who have difficulties with their fees are welcome to discuss these issues with welfare staff or management to find a solution.


"Prior to the commencement of training, the Training Provider must supply each Eligible Individual with a Statement of Fees. The Statement of Fees must provide Eligible Individuals with a quote for the total cost to them, for their course of study/enrolment, taking into account their current circumstances (including any eligibility for concession).”[2018 Guidelines about Fees Skills First Program]

The fees stated in the Statement of Fees section will remain constant for the calendar year of your enrolment.
