New Futures Family Day Care Service meets all quality standards

19-Oct-2016

New Futures Family Day Care is a service operated by VICSEG New Futures since 2012 to enhance the aspirations of families and create opportunities for individuals in a culturally diverse community. By fostering diversity among the staff who operate and deliver the service, we are providing a form of early education and care which accepts and values children and families for who they are.

As a result of the recent accreditation visit by the Department of Education and Training, our service achieved an overall rating of ‘Meeting the quality standards’ and an ‘Exceeding the quality standards’ rating for maintaining collaborative partnerships with families and communities.  This is a very good first time assessment and rating outcome, which provides a solid base for future development in quality.

As part of the accreditation celebration, the three educators who were visited in their homes received a plaque in honour of their contribution to the successful outcome.  They are pictured below from centre to right: Anne Lockett, Maria Mendes and Dianne Davison.  Celebrating with them are, left to right: Christine Foran (FDC consultant), John Zika (executive director), Nira Mahendra (FDC manager), Zina Salman (FDC consultant) and Melissa Taranto (FDC Administrator).
