Our cyber safety wall mural project launched by the Victorian Minister for Youth

Training and Support for Young People

On 17th  February, The Hon Jenny Mikakos  Minister  for Families, Children and Youth unveiled the VICSEG Cyber Smartz mural at the Oxygen Youth Centre in Coburg. The  event was also attended by a number of dignitaries, including Mr. Bernie Geary, the Victorian Commissioner for Children and Young People.

Funded by DHS Office of Youth ‘Its There For Life’ grants program  and supported by Moreland Council Youth Services,  Cyber Smartz is a youth leadership project that skills up refugee and migrant young people to be safe and aware of the dangers, long term risks and consequences of posting images and divulging  information online.  The Cyber Smartz wall mural is a lasting  image  that promotes cyber safety and anti- bullying.

VICSEG congratulates the young people on their achievements.
